Gardening is a matter of your enthusiasm holding up until your back gets used to it.  ~Author Unknown

The greatest gift of the garden is the restoration of the five senses.  ~Hanna Rion

In my garden there is a large place for sentiment.  My garden of flowers is also my garden of thoughts and dreams.  The thoughts grow as freely as the flowers, and the dreams are as beautiful.  ~Abram L. Urban

Spring

Feeling the last breath of cold winter we set our face into the sun and think of Spring.

The first Spring baskets for sale appears in the Selling Table.

Oh, give us pleasure in the flowers today;
And give us not to think so far away
As the uncertain harvest; keep us here
All simply in the springing of the year

by Robert Frost

All through the long winter, I dream of my garden. On the first day of spring, I dig my fingers deep into the soft earth. I can feel its energy, and my spirits soar

from Helen Hayes

Sitting quietly, doing nothing, spring comes, and the grass grows by itself” Zen

Winter is on my head, but eternal spring is in my heart
by Victor Hugo (1802 - 1885)

Summer

There's a time each year
That we always hold dear,
Good old summer time;
With the birds and the trees'es
And sweet scented breezes,
Good old summer time,
When you day's work is over
Then you are in clover,
And life is one beautiful rhyme,
No trouble annoying,
Each one is enjoying,
The good old summer time.
by Ron Shields

In summer, the song sings itself.
William Carlos Williams (1883 - 1963)

There shall be eternal summer in the grateful heart from Celia Thaxter

Summer gives us so much flowers.

The selling table is full of sunflowers, red ones, white, yellow. Name it. Its a celebration in colours. So the sellingtable is full of colours and often bees and butterflies are seen in the Flowergarden.

The serene philosophy of the pink rose is steadying. Its fragrant, delicate petals
open fully and are ready to fall, without regret or disillusion, after only a day
in the sun. It is so every summer. One can almost hear their pink, fragrant
murmur as they settle down upon the grass:
'Summer, summer, it will always be summer.'
Rachel Peden

Autumn

Autumn is a second spring when every leaf is a flower.  Albert Camus

October's poplars are flaming torches lighting the way to winter.  Nova Bair

Winter is an etching, spring a watercolor, summer an oil painting and autumn a mosaic of them all.  Stanley Horowitz

Youth is like spring, an over praised season more remarkable for biting winds than genial breezes.  Autumn

Wonderful Autumn

All kinds of  Colourfull Autumn baskets and pieces are for sale!

Beautiful Colours of Corn and Pumpkins, Autumn Flowers. It smells often delightful

October gave a party;
The leaves by hundreds came -
The Chestnuts, Oaks, and Maples,
And leaves of every name.
The Sunshine spread a carpet,
And everything was grand,
Miss Weather led the dancing,
Professor Wind the band.
George Cooper, "October's Party"

Bittersweet October.  The mellow, messy, leaf-kicking, perfect pause between the opposing miseries of summer and winter.

Carol Bishop Hipps

Winter

We celebrating the winter with a lot of Chrismas stuff. There is a lot of Christmas pieces for sale. In December we have a special day where all the neighbours of FlowerGarden comes together and one person makes a really tasty soup and one gives the visitors gluhwein and people meet the Flowergarden and buy often a beautiful christmasbasket or something else they like.

After the celebration of new year it became silent on the Flowergarden. There are not much buyers. In the selling stall there is some food for birds basket for sale.

But the planns are growing and Heleen start with collecting seeds and plants them.

Every mile is two in winter.  George Herbert

After Chrismas and the celebrating of the new year the garden becomes silence and then its hardly imagine that the summer will be full of colours.

Now you see the land very well

Let us love winter, for it is the spring of genius.  Pietro Aretino

prefer winter and fall, when you feel the bone structure of the landscape - the loneliness of it, the dead feeling of winter.  Something waits beneath it, the whole story doesn't show.  Andrew Wyeth

 Every winter,
When the great sun has turned his face away,
The earth goes down into a vale of grief,
And fasts, and weeps, and shrouds herself in sables,
Leaving her wedding-garlands to decay -
Then leaps in spring to his returning kisses.
Charles Kingsley
